What should I do if I have unlinked a record from a Digital Directory Profile but it has disappeared?

When unlinking records in Directory Manager from a Digital Directory profile the record is then reassessed and pushed back through the inputs, one of three things can happen with it once it has been unlinked, these are:

  • Return to System Matching for manual intervention.
  • Automatically linking to or creating a new Digital Directory Profile depending on the weighting determined during the reassessment.
  • Removal from the Digital Directory if the record is no longer deemed to be valid.

At first it may be hard to determine which of the above has happened to your match so it is usually best to allow some time to pass as the backend processes may take a while to be completed. If the record does not appear back in the matching pile and you cannot find it when searching in the Digital Directory, it is likely that the record may no longer be valid and is no longer in scope of the system inputs. Should this be the case and you wish to know why, please contact the BDS Support Team providing the PDI the Record was unlinked from and the system source of the unlinked record(s).
