What is the process for a user who Retires and Returns?

When a user retires, their ESR profile has to be set to Retired, and to return, they need a new ESR profile. ESR needs to be updated, and the user set to Retired following the Trust’s process. One option is to let them be created as a new user with a new account and new log on details. Should the user or business want their existing AD account to remain active, a ticket must be generated to enable multi-match within Directory Manager, then a new profile for that user needs to be created in ESR replicating the following fields exactly as they appeared in the original: Firstname, Surname, Date of Birth, National insurance Number. The new profile needs to be added into ESR, pulled down into Directory Manager, and the change approved (Manually or automatic) before the end date of the original AD account. This way the new profile will be linked with the user’s Digital Directory profile, and the end date removed.
