How do I manually override a user’s End Date in a PDI Profile?

You can manually override a user end date in their PDI profile which will prevent any other linked record from applying an end date. Only do this if you are certain the user is leaving and not coming back.

While this is default behaviour in Directory Manager, it can be stopped. Please speak to BDS Support to change this behaviour.

To override the end date, do the following;

  1. Find the PDI of the person you wish to update
  2. Glick the PDI to go into the PDI Profile
  3. Click the ‘Edit’ button at the bottom of the page
  4. Enter a new end data in the ‘End Date’ field. Note that the end date cannot be in the past
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button

A change transaction will be generated to apply the new end date to the ‘AccountExpirationDate’ attribute in the associated AD account.
