Can I change the login method for accessing the Web Portal?
Yes, there are 2 login methods available;
- Web Forms – This is the default method. It uses a standard Username and Password form to allow the user to login
- The user will need to enter their username without the domain name, e.g. EXAMPLEUSER instead of DOMAIN\EXAMPLEUSER
- There is a default timeout of 10 minutes when using this method. If you wish to change it please see the associated FAQ here
- Windows Authentication – This will allow a user to be automatically logged in as the user logged into the PC. When the Web Portal is loaded, there is no need to manually log in.
- If using this method, note that there is no timeout of the web portal, check with your IS governance team before implementing this method to ensure it is acceptable
