With extensive systems, applications and users, Directory Manager’s unique identifier plays a critical role within the NHS to identify and remove duplicate accounts by correctly matching them to a single user. Directory Manager version 3 has taken a step further to improve its matching logic providing more identifiers and configured threshold options.
Improvements within the matching logic have extended the matching scope to include the email address as a primary identifier, on top of the existing NI Number, Smartcard number, date of birth, and NHS unique ID.
In addition, Directory Manager now support additional threshold options to enable more refined matches, which can be re-configured on request.
“Removing the multiple account pile up within NHS systems is central to Directory Manager’s vision to enhance system management. Streamlining the number of accounts eliminates additional cost and bogged down systems,” said Nick Goodland, Product Director, BDS Solutions. “Directory Manager version 3 applies enhanced matching to streamline processes and associate multiple accounts back to a single user.”
BDS Solutions’ Directory Manager is developed solely for the NHS and is the most effective solution for managing new starters, changes and leavers, automatically managing changes within ESR, Active Directory and email messaging platforms, such as Exchange, NHSmail and O365.
