The Mobility Solutions competency provides recognition and resources to Microsoft Gold Partners with proven expertise in developing, integrating, managing, reselling, and supporting Windows Mobile Solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
A Windows Mobile® solution is a cohesive, end-to-end, mobility solution—built around the Windows Mobile operating system running on mobile, handheld devices. Windows Mobile-powered devices offer a rich platform for mobile messaging, delivering access to existing line-of-business applications, and creating new business applications. These solutions have the power to increase employee productivity and streamline business processes—thus delivering direct, measurable, business value to your customers.
Microsoft software will form the basis of a Windows Mobile solution as illustrated below; this will include Microsoft Exchange 2007, ISA Server 2006, SQL Server 2005 and Windows Mobile 6.0.
According to Gartner Research, by year-end 2006, the combined software and service market for mobile workforce applications will reach US$1 billion, rising at a 10 percent average annual growth rate through 2007. A January 2006 article in Strategy Analytics predicts that workers will spend an average of nearly 40 percent of their time away from an office desk.
