Upgrading

Periodically, BDS Solutions issue general updates for Enquiry Agent. These will either address issues found, or will include enhancements to the software.

To upgrade Enquiry Agent follow these steps:

  • Check the Enquiry Agent homepage for the latest release version.
  • If there is a newer version available, download the update file. This is a single self-extracting executable file.
  • Close Enquiry Agent and also any other BDS software that may be running on the computer.
  • Double-click the update to start the upgrade. Click OK to the information messages that are shown.
  • A final message will be displayed when the upgrade is complete.

This completes the upgrade process. A readme.txt file will be created in the installation folder – refer to this for details of the changes made in the latest update.

Upgrading via MSI file

To upgrade an entire site, a new MSI file can be issued that will upgrade all installations to the latest version. This can be called via a log-on script. Contact BDS Solutions for further details.
