Searching
Rather than having to browse the folders to find a person, it is possible to search for them. To carry out a search, first click on the "Search" button:

This will show the search screen shown below:

To carry out a search, you must enter a search criteria. First select a field to search on in the drop down box:

Then choose how to match this field in the adjacent drop down box:

Next enter a value to match against:

Now click "Run Search". This will look for all people that meet the search criteria. All matching people will be listed after a short time in the right hand section. Clicking on these people will display their information in the bottom section. These people can be emailed if required - see Emailing people.
If Enquiry Agent cannot find any matching people in the current folder, it will then search the entire source for matches. If none can be found here, a message will be displayed to say no matches found.
- It is possible to build up a search using several criteria, e.g., "Display Name equals Smith AND Job Title contains Manager". First create the first criteria as above. Then click the "Add to criteria" button. This will now be shown in the Search criteria (click "Show criteria" if you cannot see this). Add more criteria as required and then click the "Run Search" button.
- To remove the last of the search criteria entered, click the "Undo" button. To remove ALL the criteria, click "Clear".
- To choose where the search takes place, click on the "Search in..." drop down box. This will list the current folder and all the sources. Select one from the list and then carry out a search.
- To search in a particular folder, first select the folder in the Folders view (by clicking on the "Folder" button) and then return to the Search page.
- Enquiry Agent remembers searches you have carried out in the past. To use one of these remembered searches, click "Run a recent search" and select it from the list. Then click Run Search as before.
- Enquiry Agent only remembers successful searches, so those that did not return any result will not be remembered. Searches are only added to the recent list once you leave the search screen – if you run a search and do not see it in the list don’t worry, once you leave Search and return next time it will be there.
