Moving the Cache Location
The cache files can be stored in several locations:
- the user's home network folder
- the user's My Documents folder
- the Enquiry Agent installation folder
- a specified local or network folder
The Enquiry Agent default is to use the user's home network folder. If this cannot be accessed when Enquiry Agent first runs, then it will use the My Documents folder instead.
This cache location can be changed to any of the other locations. When doing this, Enquiry Agent can move the existing cache files to the new location or can delete the existing files.
NOTE: the cache items include personal distribution lists. These should only be deleted with full consent of the user.
To change the cache location, follow these steps:
- Open the Config form by clicking the "Config" button and click on the Cache Options tab
- The current location will be shown. Select the new location by clicking the option

- A prompt will be displayed to confirm you wish to move the cache. Click "Yes" to carry on or "No" to cancel the move.

- You will then be prompted whether you wish to move the existing cache. Click "Yes" to move the cache files or "No" to have them deleted.

- If Yes is clicked, the cache location will be updated and the existing cache items moved. A message will be displayed confirming this

- If No is clicked, another prompt is displayed to ensure you want to remove the cache files:

- Clicking "Yes" will delete the files and update the cache location. Clicking "No" will move the cache files to the new location. A message will be displayed at the end to confirm the action taken.
