Input File Viewer

The input file viewer is used to:

  • View the content of an extract file
  • Verify the mappings between extract file fields and Active Directory attributes
  • Store a file for Match Freezing

To open the File Viewer, click on the "Input File Viewer" button on the Files Pending tab.

View content of Extract File

To view the content of an extract file, click on the "Open" button and browse to the location of the file. The content will then be displayed in the viewer.

Verifying mappings

When a file has been opened, the current field mappings (extract file to Active Directory) will be shown. Each field from the file will be listed under the attribute it will be stored in.

To switch between Active Directory fields and logical mappings, click the "Schema" button.

Store file for Match Freezing

To store a file for match freezing, click the "Freeze" button.

If a file has already been frozen, a prompt will be shown to confirm the change. The new file will overwrite the previous content.

To view a previously frozen file, click the "Show Frozen" button.

Exporting content

To export the data shown in the Input File Viewer, click the "Save" button. The content shown will be saved to a CSV file. The current schema field headings will be exported.

Unfreezing content

To unfreeze content, follow these steps:

  1. Export the content of the current freeze table
  2. Edit the exported CSV file to remove the unfrozen users
  3. Add the file back into the Input File Viewer
  4. Click Freeze
