File Storage on the Local System Directory Manager stores a number of different files in the install folder during and after it has processed extract files.
These can be found in the following sub-folders:
Logs After an import of extract file(s), an action log is created. This log details what action was taken for each entry while processing. This action log is stored in the Logs folder. These files are given uniquely generated names. A copy of the last action log is also saved in the root install folder, called "action.csv". It is these logs that are sent via email if the "Provide Confirmation of File Processing" option on the Process Setting tab is selected. Pending Extract files that have been registered but have yet to be processed are stored in this folder. These files are renamed with a randomly generated name. If a file is found in this folder that is not registered, a message will be displayed when Directory Manager starts and the file will be deleted. Do not remove files from this folder directly – only delete registered extract files by using the Remove file button on the Files Pending tab. Processed Extract files that have been processed are stored in this folder. Temp This folder is used by Directory Manager when it is running should the need arise to create temporary files. |
