DirectSMTP Troubleshooting

In order to send emails via Direct SMTP, some configuration may be required on the target Exchange server to allow relaying of emails.

Add the the IP address of the server (where Directory Manager is installed) to the list of machines able to relay via the Exchange server SMTP service.

This is configured via Exchange Server Manager -> Servers -> *servername* -> Protocols -> Default SMTP Virtual Server properties, Access tab, Relay dialog.
