The User Interface

The following screenshot shows the Directory Integrator user interface. All tasks are carried out through this interface.

The interface comprises of the following areas:

The Menu

The menu lists all the tasks available in the software.

The Tool bar

The tool bar contains buttons for often used tasks.

The Action Panels

There are four panels which present different information:

• Directory Browser panel - for viewing the data sources
• Objects panel - for viewing the content of data source folders
• Details panel - for listing statistics on the current folder
• Attributes panel - for displaying individual object information

The Status Bar

The status bar details:

• the current folder
• the current object selected
• the view in use
• the application state
