Adding and Editing Organisations

The following screen is used to add new and edit existing organisations.

When editing an organisation, the organisation code cannot be changed. If necessary, remove the organisation and add a new one.

Organisation Name

This is the standard name of the organisation.

Organisation Code

This is the code used to identify the organisation. For NHS organisations, this will be the standard assigned organisation code. The code is used by Directory Integrator to match users to an organisation.

NOTE: By default, this code is stored in the company attribute on Active Directory.

Short Name (optional)

This is used for forming legacy DS8 VIP names. If a Short Name is specified then any VIPs for that organisation that are exported will be sent with this shortened version of the organisation name.
