Push Connectors Push connectors accept CSV files submitted from an NHS organisation. These files contain the organisation's connector name along with all their user information. Directory Integrator can create the export file in the Push connector format and submit this to the recipient address. Setting up Push connector with nhs.net The connector must be set up in the NHSNet mail system first. Log on in the normal way, select Tools > Administration Tools > Manage Connector > Create New Connector. To do this you must have (a) a username for NHSNet and (b) sufficient permissions to create a connector. If you do not have these permissions you will have to contact your normal NHSNet support team – BDS Solutions are unable to provide any support for this. Within NHSNet create a Push connector. A connector name must be supplied and in return a unique key will be provided. these cane then be used with the Push Connector facilities within Directory Integrator. Setting up Directory Integrator for Push Connector submission To submit Push connector export files, the following settings need to be applied in the Options form:
The content of the export file must also be configured. Click "Push Connector - Configure" on the Export Settings form to open the Push Connector Configuration form:
Using this form, it is possible to match the Connector attribute to the attribute in the internal database. The connector name must also be added to the form. The Connector Name is the name of the connector used when setting up the connector in the nhs.net above. When the form is closed, the following prompt will be displayed:
Clicking "Yes" will add the Cable and Wireless push connector submission address in the Submission email address box on the Export Settings form.
