Using Directory Integrator with the NHS National Directory

Directory Integrator has been designed to meet the requirements of the NHS National Directory. This covers:

Providing pick-lists of NHS-required values for attributes
Validating objects against National Directory requirements
Providing a data source for Pull connectors
The facility to send data for a Push connector

NHS Pick Lists

The Job Role, Work Area and Clinical Specialty attributes, if provided to a connector, must be from a set list of values. This list is issued periodically by the NHS.

Directory Integrator uses these values and presents them in pick-lists for each attribute. This ensures that values that are selected meet the connector requirements. These lists are provided on the Attributes panel.
