Validation

Directory Integrator can validate objects against a number of validation rulesets. These cover legacy DS8 checking and National Directory validation. When these validation rules are applied, whenever an object is selected it will be checked for correctness.

NOTE: When no validation is being applied, "Validation Disabled" will be displayed at the top of the Attributes panel.

When an object fails a validation check, a message will be displayed prompting whether to display all the invalid attributes. Clicking yes will show this list along with recommended values (where possible).

Applying Validation

To turn on the validation in Directory Integrator, apply these settings:

DS8 Validation

These validation rules cover the now retired ABS service. It is no longer recommended that these validation rules be used.
