Using Custom Values

On the Attributes panel in Directory Integrator, the most common and pertinent attributes are displayed. However, there may be other attributes on the primary data source that are available for use.

Directory Integrator can "open up" these attributes and make them available for editing through the attributes panel. When this has been configured, a "Custom Values" button will be shown on the panel.

Some examples of custom values are:

  • extension attribute values in Active Directory and Exchange 55
  • field values on a database

It is also possible to provide a pick-list of possible values similar to the job roles and clinical specialty lists.

Several attributes can also be updated when changing just one attribute. For example, all the address attributes can be changed to reflect the organisation code chosen.

In order to discuss and set up these possible values, contact BDS Solutions who will provide a configuration file to set up the new values.
