Configuration Files

Directory Integrator can be automatically configured through the use of configuration (config) files. These files contain a snapshot of the software configuration and will apply these settings to Directory Integrator. The file can contain data source and application settings.

These files can only be provided by BDS Solutions. Please contact BDS Solutions to discuss the creation of config files.

If a config file has been provided, the best method is to copy it to floppy disk and insert this into the computer. Then go to Tools > Import Configuration file. This will first search the floppy drive for a relevant file. If no file is found here, a standard file browser window will open. This allows manual browsing to the location of the config file, should it be on a network for example.

When a new configuration file is found it will be automatically processed and Directory Integrator configured with the new settings. The software will then need to be restarted in order for these to take effect.
