Upgrading

Periodically, BDS Solutions issue general updates for Contact Manager. These will either address software bugs or issues found, or will include enhancements to the software.

To upgrade Contact Manager follow these steps:

  • Check the Product Support homepage for the latest release version.
  • If there is a newer version available, download the update file. This is a single self-extracting executable file.
  • Close Contact Manager and also any other BDS software that may be running on the computer.
  • Double-click the update to start the upgrade. Click OK to the information messages that are shown.
  • A final message will be displayed when the upgrade is complete.

This completes the upgrade process. A readme.txt file will be created in the installation folder – refer to this for details of the changes made in the latest update or read the Version History page on the website.
