Action Logs

Action logs are created after each import of address book(s). Each action log is a csv file that lists all entries from the address book(s), along with the action that occurred and the rule it matched on. The source address book name is added to the top of the file, along with the import time and date.

The following actions can be found:

  • ADDED – entry was added to the directory
  • DUPLICATE – entry already exists on the directory and could not be updated by Contact Manager
  • ERROR – an error occurred while processing this entry
  • NOCONTAINER – the OU used by the rule could not be found
  • NOWHERE – rule was set to do nothing with the entry
  • SMTP ERROR – there is a problem with the entry’s SMTP address
  • UNMATCHED – entry did not match any of the rule’s filter values
  • UPDATED – entry already exists on the directory and was updated
  • X400 ERROR – there is a problem with the entry’s X400 address

Action logs are stored in the Logs folder in the install folder. They are named with a generated unique name. A copy of the latest log is also stored in the install folder itself called Action.csv.

To attach this file to the process summary email, select the "Attach log file" option on the Process Settings tab.
